Our wonderful team…
When a child starts at Daisy Day Nursery, they are assigned a Keyworker within their room, this is a Level 3 qualified member of staff who is responsible for observing, planning and assessing the child in their own personal learning journey. The keyworker also works with the other keyworkers to ensure smooth transition from room to room as your child grows and develops in the nursery.
Staff & Staff Development
All our practitioners are qualified to a minimum of Level 2 in Childcare, this compares favourably with OfSTED recommendations of having a minimum of 50% staff qualified to Level 3 and above. We also have an Early Years Professional within the team. Majority of staff hold First Aid and Food Hygiene qualifications. Our Lead practitioners are trained and experienced in a range of childcare roles, they have Enhanced CRB clearances as well as written references when starting at the nursery. Continuing Professional Development is something we value a lot as we are a training centre and we strive to enhance our setting and to set the example for our students
Parents as Partners
We never forget that parents are the first educators. Parental involvement in all aspects of the Nursery is encouraged and parents should feel free to discuss any problems with their child’s keyworker or the Nursery Manager. Appointments can be made if preferred by telephoning the nursery. A keyworker system enables parents to be able to communicate with staff effectively about the individual needs of their children. We value parent’s opinions, comments and suggestions, and do our best to get parents involved with as much as possible with the nursery.
